There is nothing like losing a loved one and let alone a child. I put your angels here so that they can be rembered for who they were not how they passed.
When you feel a part of a strong & loving family and community, you can make it through any situation, as we have this far.
Raising a family is an amazing adventure full of wonder, excitement and joy, but let’s be honest, it can also feel like you’ve been thrown into a not so wonderful bunch of situations. Between bills, food, loss and everything that just plain sucks.
the beginning
Mayberry.TODAY started as the link on my website called LOST BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN. After going through a loss like this I was, honestly insane. All I wanted was to make sure I was a good mom to my other son, Justice, I was very close to my son, Micheal and I wanted to make sure I have that with him as well. I have seen so many stories on the ID channel and (yes, I’m an ID and horror fan still) these poor families who lost a child have gone into a world of regret as their other children were neglected by grief.
Their grief consumed them and I decided the very day that my son passed this wasn’t going to be me. Long story (kinda) short, after getting my mental state in mind. I went on to start to feel myself and of course I had to learn a new me. The process of loss is so hard and you have no idea what to do, or what it is like. I had a family friend who lost her son come to me and all I wanted was to talk to her, to get some sort of support from someone who knows.
We know firsthand the unbearable journey of loss; A never ending new journey that you may never get off of. I know that after our loss we have become all new people. Through this we have stuck together, grown even stronger.
In 2023, we suffered a devastating loss of our son in a tornado. As we grieved, we shared our story with the world and what came back was an outpouring of love and support that allowed us to heal. We created a life with our little family that is nothing but support and love and positivity.
We learned that when we share our experiences with each other and others, we feel less alone and are more inspired to push through even the most challenging family roadblocks.
